How Cameron Arrests Work
The Cameron Police Department is a municipal agency. It runs its own records office and regional dispatch. Cameron also crosses county lines. The Missouri Census Data Center counted 3,360 residents in the DeKalb County portion of the city for 2020. So a name alone does not tell you which county, court, or jail holds the file. Always read the arresting agency, arrest county, and custody location on a result.
A Cameron arrest tied to DeKalb County may end up at the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail in Pattonsburg. That facility is its own regional district, not a city police unit. The officer generates the police-side report. The jail builds the booking and custody record after accepting the person. A state trooper adds a separate MSHP arrest report instead. These streams overlap but never match one another.
Important: Cameron arrest records begin with a booking at the DeKalb County jail. A booking logs the arrest itself, and the arrest record stays on file with the county from that point on.
Where Cameron Arrests Appear
The Cameron Police Department publishes no live booking feed and no mugshot gallery. Start with official records instead. Local news adds context after the fact, yet it cannot confirm present custody or a court outcome.
| Channel | What it answers | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Cameron Police Records | City police incident and arrest reports; photo requests depend on the held record and law. | Official municipal source |
| DDCRJ JailTracker | Current or recent regional custody and booking detail; a live detail may show a photo. | Official jail route |
| MSHP Arrest Reports | Preliminary arrests made or reported by the Highway Patrol within its five-day window. | Official, agency-limited |
| Missouri Case.net | Filed court case, hearings, amended counts, disposition, and sentence when public. | Official court source |
| My Cameron News | Selected weekly Cameron Police and DeKalb Sheriff arrest reports. | Independent and delayed |
| KTTN | Narrative reports on selected regional incidents. | Independent and incomplete |
The city's online reporting tool is not a back door to arrest data. It exists for delayed property and accident reports. Cameron's published police statistics run annual or summary-wide, with no named list of recent arrests.
Find Someone Arrested in Cameron
Let custody status pick the path. Someone just arrested may still be in transport. After processing at DDCRJ, the person can surface in the regional JailTracker. A released person drops out of the current-custody view. Even so, the city, jail, or court still holds the record.
- Search the official DDCRJ resources and detainee-search route. Compare the arresting agency, booking date, and facility.
- If MSHP may have made the arrest, search the official patrol report form by DeKalb arrest county and date. Its public window lasts five days and is not county-complete.
- Contact Cameron Police Records for the municipal report. Give the full name, approximate event date, and report number if known.
- Use Missouri Case.net for a later public case. Check the county or municipal court context before treating a similar name as a match.
- If immediate custody still cannot be confirmed, call the listed jail or arresting office.
The regional roster can list last, first, and middle names, book and release dates, charges, court information, bond, arresting agency, and status. Older archived entries showed photos too. DDCRJ does not promise an image for every current record or state how long one stays online.
Note: A roster no-result can follow release, transfer, spelling mismatch, restricted data, or a vendor outage.
Cameron Arrest Report Requests
The Cameron Records Department is the city's direct route to a police report or a police-held photo from a Cameron incident. Office hours run Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 816-632-6521 and ask for Records. The city likes a completed form but calls it optional, and identification may come into play.
Expect a typical $2 charge for a police report. Reports past 20 pages add $0.10 per page. A fingerprint service appears at $10. That fee has nothing to do with arrest records. Ask staff to confirm the current cost before you pay or drive over. Staff can also tell you what record exists and whether any part is closed.

Send each request to the right custodian. Cameron Police holds its own report. DDCRJ is the likely keeper of a regional booking sheet or jail image. Another agency's arrest means the report request goes there. A simple request just needs the person's name, an approximate date, an incident or report number, and the specific public document sought.
Cameron Police Arrest Records
The official Cameron Police Department page names Chief Dan Miller and Records Clerk Tena Christmas, places the office on Chestnut Street, and lists phone 816-632-6521 plus fax 816-632-2309. Staff change, so confirm a name before you address the envelope. The department's page remains the durable source for current contact and dispatch details, and it lists no live booking feed.

The department's screen steers records questions to the city. It does not show photos of people in custody.
A police report and a booking record answer different questions. The report covers what the officer did and the offense cited. The booking sheet documents the jail's intake. A disposition is the court's resolution, whether dismissal, plea, judgment, sentence, or another outcome. Check the court record before reading too much into arrest language.
Cameron Arrest Booking Timing
Cameron arrest records often lag behind events for a simple reason. Regional intake happens elsewhere. The DeKalb County Regional Jail sits in Pattonsburg, not at Cameron City Hall. Someone arrested in Cameron may be transported out. The person may also be accepted by another facility, released on a summons, or booked and released the same day. My Cameron News samples mention posted bond, transport to Clinton County Jail, and quick releases. A later empty DDCRJ result, then, proves little about the report itself.
Neither Cameron nor DDCRJ posts a fixed schedule from intake to web. Fresh arrests take time. Officer paperwork, transport, jail acceptance, identity checks, and data entry all add hours. The county offers no verified DDCRJ 24-hour feed. JailTracker serves as the official current-custody fallback. The MSHP automated report page covers only Highway Patrol arrests.
Alerts have their own limits. Missouri MOVANS can notify a registered user of a custody change. Yet it cannot confirm anything directly with the jail. It also cannot supply a city police report or a booking photo.
Cameron Arrest Reports in News
My Cameron News is the strongest recurring local blotter-style source found. Sample weekly issues contain Cameron Police Department arrest reports and DeKalb County Sheriff reports. Entries may list a name, age, event date and time, alleged charge, and an outcome noted by the paper. Sampled reports were text sections, not a systematic photo gallery.

Publication is selective. An issue date rarely matches the arrest date. This is a weekly snapshot, not a live roster. KTTN adds individual regional stories, including some Cameron incidents, and a story can preserve agency statements plus event context. Even so, official city, jail, and court sources should stay first in line.
Cameron Mugshots and Arrest Status
A Cameron police record does not guarantee a public booking photo. If DDCRJ handled the booking, its live detail page may include an image. Historical JailTracker records show mugshots displayed before. Still, the jail has published no universal photo policy, posting deadline, or retention term. When the live detail shows no image, ask DDCRJ for the current record.
MSHP arrest reports promise no booking photos. Missouri DOC search only applies once a person reaches state custody or supervision. It is not the Cameron booking channel. Case.net lists court events, not a city mugshot gallery. These boundaries keep an image from being paired with the wrong event or custodian.
Third-party copies invite their own trouble. They can sit stale or duplicate an old record. They can also omit release data, or freeze a charge that later changed. They never replace DDCRJ, Cameron Police, or the court. The official photo-source treatment county-wide explains how booking images differ. Court and state custody records are covered separately.
Note: Verify identity, arresting agency, custody site, and court result before relying on any copied arrest entry.
