DeKalb County VINE Coverage
The Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail resources page points visitors straight to V.I.N.E. That referral means DDCRJ backs the notification channel. It is not a promise, though. No facility-by-facility guarantee exists that every DDCRJ record appears in each Missouri search view. When a person or facility cannot be found, call DDCRJ and confirm how the record is reported.
Missouri's statewide program goes by MOVANS. The official MOVANS program page describes automated notices for custody and court events. A VINE result tracks custody, nothing more. It is not a booking-photo search. It is not a court judgment or a complete DeKalb County arrest feed either.
DDCRJ's resources screen maps its detainee-search and V.I.N.E. routes.

No booking photos appear here, just the jail's own routing choices.
Check a DeKalb Arrest
Start with an exact name and enough detail to separate people who share it. Open the VINELink national entry and choose Missouri. Add any county, facility, or agency filter offered. Menus change, so follow the live labels instead of assuming an old layout still exists.
- Select Missouri and the available local-custody search.
- Enter the exact last name and first name when known. Use a booking or offender identifier if the interface accepts one.
- Compare all returned matches. Check the full name, facility, identifier, and current status.
- Open the matching record and note the time or date attached to the status.
- If nothing matches, check spelling, try the official DDCRJ route, and call the jail before drawing a conclusion.
Multiple matches demand care. A name alone can point to the wrong person. A no-result may mean release, a transfer, an offline jail, a spelling difference, or a reporting delay. For the underlying booking path, the DeKalb County recent-arrests hub separates the regional roster from police and court records.
DeKalb VINE Result Fields
The live record sets what shows up. VINE works as a status and notification system, not a full arrest report. A result may hold enough to identify the person and the custody event. DDCRJ JailTracker and the arresting agency hold other details.
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name | The identity attached to the custody record; compare carefully when names match. |
| Custody status | Whether the current record reports custody, release, or another tracked state. |
| Facility | The jail or detention location supplying the event. |
| Identifier | A booking, offender, or case number that can separate similar names. |
| Event | A release, transfer, or other status change made available by the source. |
Booking and custody are not the same thing. Booking is jail intake. A transfer hands the person to another custodian, and a release ends the reported stay. Courts, not VINE, decide the final disposition of a filed case, so Missouri Case.net still matters.
Note: Read the facility and event date together because a status without its source or timing can be misunderstood.
Register DeKalb Custody Alerts
Searching alone creates no alert. Registration is a separate step. Missouri now routes local-jail users to its current MOVANS registration for SMS or email delivery. Pick the matching person or custody event, give a working contact method, and keep the confirmation for later.
- Open the current MOVANS registration site.
- Find the relevant local jail or detention record and verify the identity.
- Select the custody event choices the current screen makes available.
- Enter a mobile number for SMS or an email address.
- Complete any live verification prompt and save the confirmation.
Older Missouri VINE materials described phone calls and a four-digit PIN. Callers repeated calls until the PIN registered. Those steps are historical for local jails now. Skip them as a current DeKalb County path. Call 573-526-1929 or write movans@dps.mo.gov on a weekday when the process is unclear. The MOVANS registration page shows the state's current entry point for local-jail notices.

The live state route sets the contact and event choices.
Missouri Alerts Changed in 2026
May 2026 matters most here. The Missouri MOVANS changes notice says local jail and detention notifications require a new registration. SMS and email are the current local-jail channels. Earlier phone and VINELink app options no longer apply to those alerts. Old registrations may not carry forward. Department of Corrections registration stayed the same. So local DDCRJ custody and later state custody can follow different registration rules. Verify the custodian first. The state change notice explains why a new local-jail registration may be needed.

That notice governs, not an old brochure or remembered PIN.
Verify Fresh DeKalb Arrests
Alerts can be late or missing. Someone booked minutes ago may not appear until jail data entry finishes. DDCRJ publishes no measured intake-to-roster delay. VINE is not a same-day arrest ledger either. Check the regional JailTracker link first; the Arrested Today page covers the same-day fallback and the MSHP-only feed limit.
Important: never trust one automated alert alone. Confirm urgent custody questions with DDCRJ, and call 911 in an emergency.
Call DeKalb Detention directly at 660-367-2200. You can also visit the jail at 102 North Meadows Lane in Pattonsburg, Missouri 64670. Ask staff if the person is in custody there. Staff will likely want a full name or other identifying details before they answer. They can also explain how notification registration works at that facility. One thing a jail cannot do is convert a VINE result into a court ruling.
VINE Custody Boundaries
Missouri VINE does not reach every custody system. Someone moved into Missouri DOC custody should be checked through the state offender search. That tool also carries its own notification instructions. A federal sentence calls for the Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration detention belongs in the ICE locator. Those federal tools sit apart from the Missouri local-jail path entirely.
A missing VINE record does not erase an arrest record, either. Released people often drop out of a custody view. Meanwhile the arresting agency, the jail, or the court still holds its own file. A notification simply reports an event supplied by a participating source. It does not prove the truth of a charge. Turn to the proper court record to verify filings and later outcomes.
Each system also keeps its own time horizon. Treat JailTracker as a current or recent custody search, since DDCRJ publishes no archive depth. The arresting office may keep its report long after an online name vanishes. Missouri Case.net can display the public court case once charges are filed. If a state sentence follows, Missouri DOC becomes the relevant custody source. That sequence explains why one screen shows a name and another does not. Neither result is wrong. Note the date and source of every result. Then recheck the official custodian when a release, transfer, or court deadline matters.
Note: Use VINE for notice, the regional jail for present custody, and the court docket for the case outcome.
